Pluralys is Ivalys Studios’ very first project — and also the first game for almost every member of the team. Developed in less than two years, it’s planned to be released by the end of the year.

The story so far
In 2024, our game director, Cyril, decided to fulfill a dream he’d had since he was 14: to create and develop a video game from scratch. Having been a fan of Final Fantasy and Zelda for so many years, the choice of style was obvious: a 2D narrative adventure/RPG.
That’s how Project Elie was started. At the beginning, Cyril started to write a story and wrote a game engine in GameMaker that would support his vision. He then looked for a graphic designer to help bring everything to life. After only a few months, he realized he wanted to create something even bigger, something more ambitious. By September, Pluralys was supported by a full dedicated team, with an additional writer, a programmer, and a marketing lead.
Pluralys was our first game, for all of us, but we shared the same passion: video games and storytelling. We’ve been learning together, growing together, and giving this project everything we’ve got. More people joined the team during its development and we’re now very proud of the result. We hope you’ll enjoy our game as much as we enjoyed creating it!

FAQ
How does Pluralys stand out from other narrative RPGs?
More than a classic RPG, Pluralys blends a cozy atmosphere with deep mysteries. You play as an ordinary character, until the arrival of unexpected guests changes everything. Explore, investigate, manipulate time… and uncover a rich, surprising universe.
What’s one feature or detail you’re most proud of?
The way our Zeings characters are integrated into the world of Pluralys. It makes everything looks stranger, funnier and more interesting. You never know what you’re going to get with those NPCs.
Why “No combat”? Is it really an RPG?
Yes, it’s definitely an RPG — just without combat. Exploration, dialogue, choices, and environmental interactions take center stage here. Atmosphere and characters drive the story forward, without relying on traditional battle mechanics.
What are the inspirations behind Pluralys’ universe?
The team drew inspiration from narrative-driven games such as Oneshot, Final Fantasy, Zelda, and Dragon Quest. But what makes Pluralys unique is the way it blends humor, puzzles, and a quirky, intimate world.
How can I follow the game’s development or support you?
Adding Pluralys to your Steam wishlist always helps.
